Ken Weiss, Attorney

Kenneth "Ken" Weiss is a member of the McGlinchey Stafford firm who practices in our New Orleans and Baton Rouge offices and heads the estate planning practice. He is a Board Certified Tax Specialist and a Board Certified Estate Planning and Administration Specialist (Certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization) practicing in the areas of tax; business and wealth transfer planning wills, trusts and probate; elder law; charitable gift planning; tax-exempt organizations and matrimonial planning.

Ken is a full professor on the adjunct faculty of Tulane Law School, where he has taught Federal Estate and Gift Tax since 1987, and has also taught Federal Income Tax, Corporate Tax, International Estate Planning and Comparative Tax Policy. From 2000 to 2008, he was an adjunct professor of law at LSU Law School, where he taught Federal Gift and Estate Tax.

Since 1993, Ken has been included in Woodward White's Best Lawyers in America (for Tax Law, Trusts and Estates, Non-profit Charities Law and Elder Law in 2010), and is listed in Louisiana SuperLawyers 2009. He has authored three books and numerous articles on tax and estate planning subjects.

Ken is Chair of the Tulane Estate Planning Institute and serves on the planning committee for the Loyola Estate Planning Conference and the Tulane Tax Institute. Ken has participated in programs at Tulane, Loyola and LSU law schools, the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Business Institute and other organizations.

 

Kevin Neyrey, CPA, CVA, PFS, AEP, CFF

Kevin M. Neyrey joined the Ericksen Krentel & LaPorte firm in 1984.  He is the managing partner of the firm and the partner in charge of the firm’s Tax Section.  In addition, he has extensive experience in providing business valuation services, litigation services and estate and personal financial planning services, tax planning for businesses, individuals, estates and trusts.  His educational background includes a Master of Science degree in Accounting-Taxation from the University of New Orleans, a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Mr. Neyrey’s professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where he is a member of the Personal Financial Planning Division and accredited as the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and he is a member of the AICPA’s Forensic and Valuation Services Section and is certified in financial forensics (CFF).  He is a member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (SLCPA) where he serves as Chairman of the Litigation Services Committee.  He is a member of the and the New Orleans Chapter of the SLCPA where he has served as Chairman of the Taxation Committee. 

Kevin Neyrey is past president of the New Orleans Estate Planning Council and served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC).  He is certified as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) by the NAECP.  He is also a member of the National Association of the Certified Valuation Analysts, and he is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).

 

Greg Hodlewsky, CFA
Senior Vice President
Investment Director

Greg is an investment director for Hancock Horizon Investments (HHI). Greg formulates equity investment and policy strategy, and uses quantitative statistical analysis to build optimal portfolios. Greg manages the Growth Fund and the Diversified Income Fund for Hancock Horizon Funds. He has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry, managing investment portfolios for individuals, foundations, endowments and mutual funds. Prior to working at HHI, Greg was a partner and senior portfolio manager for CFW Capital Management, a Kansas City-based investment management firm. Greg earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin; an M.S. in Investments and Corporate Finance from Georgia State University, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
